Barbara Bridges

Barbara Bridges, age 80, of Forest City, passed away, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Barbara was born Saturday, June 20, 1942 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Robert Wilson and Lucille Davis Wilson. She worked as a nurses aide for over thirty years and was of the Baptist faith. Barbara enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzle books. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Flay Taylor; second husband, James Bridges and a sister, Janie Hasseltine Brant.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Tannalla Reynolds (Johnny) of Winder, Georgia, Violet Cox (Romeo Waters) of Forest City and Patricia Ann Taylor (Danny Hicks) of Bennettsville, SC; two sons, Robert Taylor (Ginger) of Hendersonville, NC and Tommy Taylor (Teresa) of Mars Hill, NC; brother, Robert Gene Laughter of Bessemer City, NC; sister, Doris Jane Justice of Edneyville, NC; fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 4th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
