Christopher "Shane" Hudgins

Shane Hudgins, age 40, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Shane was born April 24, 1980 in Rutherford County to the late Calvin Hudgins and Rita Mode Hudgins.  He graduated from R.S. Central High School class of 1998. Shane worked most of his life as a security officer for Homeland Security.   He loved to travel and watch Broadway shows and movies.  Shane loved his pets, Hulk, his dog and Cleo his cat; and he loved three special animals who are no longer around Fabia, a Bassett Hound, Jack a dog and Midnight a cat.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents Hubert and Ruby Hudgins, Eugene and Pauline Robbins, a niece Breanna.

Those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Roger Hudgins (Karen) of Forest City; sister, Lori Hudgins Smith (Joseph) of Bostic;  nephews, Nick Hudgins, Austin Smith; nieces, Brooke Hudgins, Kaleigh Smith and special cousins, Ginger Craig and Brandy Mode.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Saturday, 26, 2020 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
