Edith Toney

Edith Jane Toney, age 69, of 131 Odyssey Lane, Forest City, NC passed away Friday February 8, 2008 at the Cleveland Regional Hospital. She was born June 10, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Leander McKinley Sisk and Fannie Mae Connor Sisk. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She also liked crafts and was a painter. She attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and Chesnee Free Will Baptist Church. Edith was also a League Bowler.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Toney of Sandy Mush; four sons, Rickey Toney and wife Deborah of Shiloh, David Toney of Sandy Mush, Alan Toney and wife Kaye of Shiloh, and Steven Toney of Sandy Mush; one daughter, Sandra Robinette and husband Michael of Sandy Mush; six grandchildren, Phillip Toney, Kevin Toney, Caroline Toney, Joseph Toney, Riley Robinette, and Mark Robinette; one great granddaughter, Madison Toney; five brothers, J. C. Sisk, Carl Sisk, Harvey Sisk, Herman Sisk, and Jerry Sisk; and two sisters, Margaret Lovelace and Linda Walker.
