Ervin Munn

Ervin Munn, age 82, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Ervin was born Sunday, December 15, 1940 in Kershaw County, SC to the late James Munn and Addie Segers Munn. He worked as a trucking supervisor for many years and most recently worked for Carolina Freight before retirement. Ervin enjoyed sports and worked as a baseball umpire and football referee. He was an avid bowler and was active in many bowling leagues. Ervin was also a devoted New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves fan.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Munn.

    Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife of sixty-two years, Nancy Munn; children, Tommy Munn of Forest City, Sonya Philbeck (David) of Bostic, Mickey Munn (Heather) of Rutherfordton and Aaron Munn of Forest City; brother, Sherill Munn (Debbie) and a sister, Sandra Knight (Jerry) all of Kershaw, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Dylan Munn, Nancy Munn, Matthew Hamrick (Tiffany), Wesley Philbeck, Nikki Toineeta (Windall), Jordan Munn (Kristin), Olivia Price, Meredith Munn and six great-grandchildren.

     A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Erin’s life will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 17^th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
