Geraldine Kurtz

Geraldine "Jerri" Kurtz, age 72, of Bostic passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Hospice Residence of Rutherford County following an extended illness. Mrs. Kurtz was born May 25, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late John C. Harris and Viola D. Enloe Harris. She grew up and spent most of her life in Rutherford County. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant working in home health, long-term care, and hospice settings. She was a member of Plain View Baptist Church of Ellenboro. Her hobbies included quilting and needlework.

Survivors include her husband, John Kurtz of the home; three sons, Jeffrey N. Greene of Mooresboro, NC, John N. Greene and wife Cathy of Almaville, TN, and Joseph N. Greene and wife Angela of Mooresboro, NC; two daughters, Belinda Martinez and husband Caesar of Concord, NC and Lori Ann Hester and husband Richard of Lake Norman, NC; two brothers, Jimmy C. Harris of Shelby, NC and Bobby G. Harris of Ellenboro, NC; a sister Vickki Cardile, of Pennsgrove, NJ. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
