Gladys West

Gladys A. West, 86, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Oak Grove Health Care Center. Gladys was born June 15, 1920, in Rutherford County to the late Albert C. Burgess and Ella Sisk Burgess. Gladys was a member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben West in 1985 after 45 years of marriage. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

She is survived by her daughter Anza West of Powhatan, Virginia; and by two grandsons, David Pye and Brandon Pye. She is also survived by a brother A.C. Burgess of Rutherfordton, NC.
