Helen Virginia Silvers, age 85, of Poors Ford Road, Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Oak Grove Healthcare.   Helen was born Tuesday, April 21, 1936 in Duchess County, New York to the late Arnie Fridstrom and Winifred Jarvis Fridstrom. She worked for Mastercraft Industries for many years and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed reading and playing games and was known for her great cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis A. Palmeri and second husband, John Max Silvers; daughters, Sharon Gagner and Fran Pogue; two sisters, Linda Miller and Loretta Tantillo.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Claudia Cole (Robert) and Lori Palmeri both of the Shiloh Community; sons, Steven Silvers of Morganton and Gary Palmeri (Misty) of Shiloh; stepson, Dean Silvers (Cathy) of Sealy, Texas and a stepdaughter, Debbie Bound of Hyde Park, NY; a sister, Bonnie Lanigan of New Jersey; two brothers, Arnie and David Fridstrom. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Helen will be held on a later date.
