Jackie Smith

Jackie Raymond Smith, age 69, of Bostic passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at his residence.

Jackie was born Tuesday, August 3, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late John Smith and Alice Hooper Smith. He loved spending time with his family. Jackie enjoyed playing golf, and shooting pool when he was younger.  He was a member of the Forest City Municipal Golf Course.  Jackie will be missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanie Marlowe, Judy Smith, Janice Smith; brothers, Jimmy Millies, Johnny Smith, and Robbie Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty-one years, Dorothy Byers Smith; two sons, Jackie Ray Smith (Jennifer Hope), Michael Scott Smith (Angela); grandchildren, Austin Smith (Hannah), Chelsea Smith, Courtney Johnson (Jermiah), and Payton Smith.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 15^th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
