James Bailey

James Bailey, age 65, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

James was born Friday, August 2, 1957 in Rutherford County to Edna Bennett Bailey who resides in Chesnee, SC and to the late Robert Leander Bailey.  James enjoyed farming.  He loved fishing, music, even strumming the guitar.  James was also an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his partner of twenty-one years, Martha; a son, Tim Bailey (Beth), a daughter, Stephanie Tomblin (Andy); three grandchildren, Brooke, Madison and Clara Tomblin; three brothers, Keith Bailey (Lora), Mark Bailey, and Craig Bailey (Shelia).

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
