Jean Ann Henson, age 72, of Ellenboro, passed away October 2, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Jean was born Monday, September 12, 1949 in Waynesville, North Carolina to the late Jimmy Leon Ledford and Janie Green Ledford. She worked for J.C. Cowan for many years and graduated from the Cosmetology program at Isothermal Community College. Jean co-owned and operated the “Appetites Two” restaurant with her husband in Spindale. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed flower gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was the widow of the late, David Henson.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Patti Bradley of Ellenboro and Carol Bradley (Anthony) of Bostic; son, Jamie Henson (Noel) of Ellenboro; three sisters, Margie Green of Waynesville, NC, Shirley Haney (Phillip) of Waynesville, NC and Jackie Morrow (Eddie) of Lexington, NC; brother, Leon Ledford of Bostic; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Alexander City Cemetery with Reverend Danny Ledford and Reverend Steve Rhinehart officiating.
