Jeffrey Ivester

Jeffrey Ivester, age 71, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his residence.

Jeffrey was born Tuesday, January 27, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Eugene Ivester and Ruther Sweatt. He worked as a dry wall installer and in construction for many years. Later he worked in apartment maintenance and was a volunteer for the Salvation Army. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and camping. Jeffrey attended Victory Baptist Church in Ellenboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Caudle.

Those left to treasure his memory are his companion, Suzanne Dobbins; daughter, Amber Mayhew (Jeremy) of Gastonia; sisters, Debra Ivester of Asheville and Cristy Busbee of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Mayhew, William Mayhew, Maddox Caudle, Mason Caudle; great-grandchildren, Jasper Mayhew and Emmett Mayhew.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 2^nd at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Johnny McCarty officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
