Joanne Byrd

Joanne Byrd, age 65, of Boiling Springs, NC, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her residence.   Joanne was born Thursday, May 24, 1956 in Cleveland County to the late Robert Bright and Guynell Coffey Bright. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1974 and was of the Baptist Faith. Joanne was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was affectionately called “Nana” by her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Kenneth Ray Byrd; an infant daughter, Geneva Kim Byrd and two brothers, Walter and Ricky Bright.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Anita Beaird and husband, Chris of Shelby; son, Richard Byrd of Clover, SC and three grandchildren, Austin Byrd, Mason Beaird and Ethan Beaird.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Cliffside Cemetery with Reverend Scott Butler officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
