John Hopler, age 91 of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

John was born Sunday, October 23, 1932 in Patterson, New Jersey to the late William John Hopler, Sr. and Edith Rhodes Hopler. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Medic Corpsman during the Korean war. John worked for Dover Textiles and as a truck driver for Chemical Lehman Tank Lines and Tri-City Concrete. He was also involved with the North American Aviation Aerospace program. John was a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Teresa W. Hopler; son, Christopher Jones (Rob) of Alexis, NC; daughter, Tina Moore of Shelby; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 1st at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Cash and Reverend Steve Chappell officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
