Joyce Juanita Champion

      Joyce Juanita Champion, age 77, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

      Joyce was born Tuesday, November 12, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Frank Biggerstaff and Dorothy Poole Biggerstaff. Joyce loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed talking on the phone to her friends. Joyce loved to laugh, and usually she was the one who started it. When she was younger, she loved riding motorcycles and going to the beach. She was a member of Poors Ford Baptist Church.

       Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Anitra Robbins (Dwayne); one and only grandson, Zach Robbins; a brother, Steve Biggerstaff (Rita); a nephew, Reggie Biggerstaff; numerous friends and other family.

      A family led celebration of life will be conducted 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 20th at the Village Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Robbins and Reverend Gary Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
