Kenneth Teaster

Kenneth Wayne Teaster, Sr., age 59, of Mooresboro, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Hospice Residence of Rutherford County following an extended illness. He was born on February 27, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC to Clyde and Frances Teaster. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and worked as a truck driver for 32 years. He retired from Overnite Trucking Company. He enjoyed woodworking, making jewelry and baseball card collecting. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beth Teaster; one daughter, Lisa Childers and husband Randy of Forest City; two sons, Jon Teaster and wife Donna of Mooresboro, Wayne Teaster of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his mother, Frances Teaster Ledbetter and husband Roy of Caroleen; a sister, Brenda Teaster of Forest City; two step-sisters, Donna Burkett of Spartanburg, SC and Janice Faucett of Union, SC; one step-brother, Gary Ledbetter of Hollis, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
