Lester Greene

Lester Greene of Bostic passed away August 18, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Lester was born Thursday, June 4, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Memory and Vader Greene.  He worked at Broyhill and Walmart for many years.  Lester was a licensed minister and a faithful member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.  He loved to read and study the Bible.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Greene.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sandra Greene; one son, Michael Barrier (Amanda); three daughters, LeAnn Sisk (Rodney), Amy Newton (Casey) and Jessica Keeter all of Bostic; sister, Carletta Greene; two brothers, Michael Greene and Marshall Greene both of Spindale. He was also survived by ten grandchildren: Madison and Callie Barrier, Carsen Sisk, Austin Keeter, Lilly Tipton, Zander Tilley, Bella Pruett, Caleb Newton, Jacob Norris and Mark Heller, Jr.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness with Reverend Chad Sisk and Reverend Buddy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
