Lorene Greene

Lorene Burgess Greene, age 83, of Forest City passed away Tuesday, May 08, 2007 at Autumn Care of Forest City following an extended illness. She was born June 23, 1923 in Caroleen, NC to the Roscoe Burgess and Laura Radford Burgess. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant most of her adult life, working at Fairhaven Nursing Home for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Crawford and husband Gene of Rutherfordton, NC, and Jackie Clark of Forest City, NC; two brothers, Grover Burgess and Worth Burgess both of Caroleen, NC; two sisters, Margaret Hodge of Spindale, NC and Betty Rash of Forest City, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Spencer Lee Greene in 2005.
