Lucinda "Cindy" Craven

Lucinda “Cindy” Craven, age 66, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, September 20,2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Lucinda was born March 25, 1954 in Kinston, NC to the late Joseph S. Weedman and Dixie Clark Weedman. She was a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and taught many years at Donna Lee Laughlin Elementary School in Asheboro. Lucinda enjoyed being a homemaker and loved art and music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Craven and a son, Scott Spencer Whitaker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Laura Linder (David) of Forest City; four grandchildren, Katie Linder, Roxanne Linder, Elijah Shifflett and Paula Martin.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Linder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
