Mamie Simpson

Mamie Lee McCombs Simpson, age 84, of Forest City passed away Monday, October 9, 2006, at Autumn Care Center of Forest City. Mamie was born January 18, 1922 in Rutherford County to the late Amzie Charlie McCombs and Mattie Ramsey McCombs. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Maxtell Simpson.

She is survived by a son, Guido Simpson and wife Debbie of Harris, NC; four daughters, Leanna Jay and husband Phil of Forest City, NC, Barbara Byers of Cliffside, NC, Teresa Walters and husband Jim of Rutherfordton, NC, and Sheila Horn and husband Mike of Forest City, NC; three sisters, Estelle Mayse, Ruby Banks, and Lois Pritchard all of Forest City, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
