Margaret Yelton

Margaret Tesseniar Yelton, age 74, of Forest City passed away Tuesday, September 5th at her residence following an extended illness. Margaret was born July 29, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late Adam Tesseniar and Ada Hyder Tesseniar. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County having worked in the textile industry most of her life. She also worked as a caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Yelton in 1979 and by four brothers and one sister.

Margaret is survived by her three sons; Harold Yelton and wife Rita of Ellenboro, NC, Rick Yelton of Rutherfordton, NC, and Eddie Yelton & Alisha Fowler of Henrietta, NC; two daughters, Janice Morrow and husband Tim of Rutherfordton, NC, and Cathy Bennick and husband Tommy of Forest City, NC; one sister, Jenny Ledford of Forest City; 19 grandchildren, Jennifer McSwain, Ricky Jackson, Charlie Murray, Amy Clark, Michelle Walker, Ryan Morrow, Reggie West, Chris Bennick, Tyler Bennick, Kandi Rollins, Rick Yelton, Nickie Yelton, Brandy Yelton, Josh Yelton, Jeremy Yelton, Jarred Yelton, Jessica Yelton, David Fowler, & Brittany Fowler and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by an honorary daughter in Christ, Sherry Lowery of Forest City, NC.
