Mary Jo Sherman

Mary Jo Sherman, age 67, of Ellenboro, passed away, Friday, February 9, 2024.

Mary Jo was born Tuesday, October 30, 1956, in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Byron Sherman and Lillian Brennen Sherman. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Mary Jo had the gift of creativity and could take anything and make it into something beautiful. Her exquisite handmade gifts were an expression of her creative love for each recipient. Mary Jo loved her children and grandchildren and took pleasure and pride in being “Gammy.”  She was a kind and loving person who had a heart for those who needed a friend and someone to care for them. Mary Jo was also an avid “Wizard of Oz” fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Joseph Padiak and a brother, Joshua Sherman.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Justin Joseph Padiak (Brigid) of Sycamore, IL and Nicholas Nathan Padiak (Katharine) of Chicago, IL; stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Padiak of Webster, FL; her beloved grandchildren, Mercedes, Adrianna, Penny, Crosby, Shea, Milo, Huckleberry; siblings, Elizabeth Tucker, Edna Jean Sack, Mark Sherman (Pasha), Amy Sheman, Judith Holland (Brian), David Sherman (Karen) and Matthew Sherman.

 In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
