Max Silvers

Max Silvers, age 79, of Poors Ford Road, Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at his home. He was born February 16, 1928 in Rutherford County to the late Marvin Silvers and Martha Jane Wheeler Silvers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Silvers worked in construction
and was known as a hard worker. He enjoyed going to the flea markets, raising dogs, and the mountains. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II.

Mr. Silvers is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helen Fridstrom Silvers of the home; one daughter, Debbie Bound of New York; three sons, Dean Silvers of Texas, Steven Silvers of Morganton, Gary Palmeri of Rutherfordton; three stepdaughters, Sharon Gagner of Forest City, Claudia Cole and her husband Robert of Rutherfordton, and Lori Palmeri of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by one brother, Clarence Silvers of Henrietta and one sister, Viola Luckadoo of Henrietta; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
