Michelle Pettit

Michelle Walker Pettit, age 51, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC.

Michelle was born Thursday, February 26, 1970 in Rutherford County to the late Jimmy Lee Walker and Peggy Jean Sisk Walker. She had an earned Associates Degree from Isothermal Community College. Michelle worked as a manager for the local Movie Gallery Stores and owned and operated Kustom Kuts in Danieltown. She also was the owner and operator of Sandy Mush Florist for many years. Michelle loved taking care of her family and enjoyed collecting paparazzi jewelry. She was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of thirty-two years, James Pettit, Jr.; two sons, James Pettit III (Elizabeth) of Campobello, SC and Colby Pettit (Jessica) of Spindale; grandchildren, Caroline Pettit and Cooper Pettit; sisters, Tami Atchley and Kim Holland both of Charlotte; brothers, Scott Walker of Spindale and Jeff Walker (Sissy) of Forest City; mother-in-law, Beth Pettit of Forest City.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jason Madison officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
