Nellie Tate

Nellie Mae McDaniel Tate, age 87, of Forest City, NC passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Rutherford Hospital. She was born December 13, 1920 in Rutherford County to the late William L. McDaniel and Hester Hamrick McDaniel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, S. B. "Tommy" Tate. She was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at the Chase Corner Ministries. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her cats and traveling.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy McFarland and husband Ken, of Forest City, and Gayle Bush and husband Tom of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren Sandra G. Bush, Julie M. Bush, Robert C. Bush and Jennifer N. Bush; and one great grandchild, Brandon T. Bush. Also surviving are two special friends, Nancy Tate and Hazel Wallace.
