Paul Lowery

Paul W. "Tobe" Lowery, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Hospice House following an extended illness. Mr. Lowery was born May 31, 1918 in Henrietta, NC to the late William P. Lowery and Gennie Childers Lowery. He has been a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He married Alleree Jolley on July 2, 1950 in Gaffney, SC. He worked for Burlington Industries for over 40 years as a card fixer. He was a long-time member of Fairview Missionary Methodist Church in Cliffside where he was a song-leader. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Alice Lowery, a son Donald Lowery and four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alleree of the home, two grandchildren, Tammy Cox of Forest City, NC, and Lennie Lowery of Mooresboro; his daughter-in-law Sara Lou Lowery of Mooresboro; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Lowery, Kayla Lowery, Nathan Cox, and Ashton Cox.
