Rickey May

Rickey May, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Colonial Manor Health in Rutherfordton.

Rickey was born Tuesday, May 20, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Edgar Ashby May and Hazel Mills May. He was a truck driver most his life. Rickey most recently drove for Robbins Brick and Block Company. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, listening to country music and especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Gayle May.

Left to cherish fond memories are his daughter, Martina Spencer (Shawn) of Forest City; grandchildren, Austin Spencer and Hunter Spencer; brother, Mike May (Gayle) of Eads, Tennessee; nieces, Avery Gayle May and Ashley Parker (Scott) and a great-nephew, Baxton Parker and great-niece, Riley Parker.

In honor of Rickey’s wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
