Russell A. Collins

Russell A. Collins, age 70, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Russell was born January 27, 1950 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Allen I. Collins and Alice Stacy Collins. He was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School, class of 1968. He worked for Trelleborg Industries for twenty-seven years. Russell enjoyed bowling and especially loved playing with his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life-companion and friend, Sharon Porter; sister, Phyllis West (Roger) of Polk County; son, Samuel Collins (Miranda) of Inman, SC and a daughter, Stacy Bowman (Christopher) of Rockingham, NC. He is also survived by three stepdaughters, Amber Rutherford (Charles) of Kings Mountain, Amanda Selvey of Kings Mountain and Amy Selvey of Clover, NC. He also survived nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Harrelson Funeral Home. Elder Roy Johnston will lead the service.
