RUTH ELIZABETH BROWN

Ruth Hilton Brown, age 61, of Summerville, South Carolina, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Trident Medical Center in Summerville.

Ruth was born on December 8, 1945 in Forest City, North Carolina to the late Gene Hilton and Cleo Annie Honeycutt Hilton Guffey. She was the widow of the late Howard Brown who passed away March 16, 2007. Ruth attended Chase High School and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who met her.
In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, David Guffey.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn Kroese and her husband Dwayne of Lebanon, Oregon; a son, Jim Edward Brown and his wife Robbie of Summerville, SC;
grandchildren, Robert Durkee, Andrea Kroese, Marissa Kroses, Danielle Brown, and Jacob Brown; and great grandchildren, Dustin, Bode, and Yianna Durkee. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Daphne Baker of Summerville, Tina Winter of Buffalo, NY, and Beauford Guffey, Nancy Blackwell, and Dan Guffey all of Rutherfordton, NC.
