Thelma Harvey

Thelma Elizabeth Henson Harvey, age 88, of Harris, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton. She was born July 5, 1919 in Rutherford County to the late William Henson, Sr. and Ida Elizabeth Henson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Henson. Thelma was a longtime member of Harris First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and she loved animals.

Thelma is survived by one son, Crawford Elliott Harvey and wife Louvenia of Harris, NC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Harvey Roberts and husband James of Inman, SC, Scott Elliott Harvey of Emporia, VA, Rodney Lee Harvey and wife Shannon of Canon, GA. and Mark Dewayne Harvey of Emporia, VA; a brother, Rector Henson of Mountain City, TN and a sister, Melvie Canipe of Harris, NC. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
