Tracy Melton

Tracy Keith Melton, age 41, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in Morganton, NC, following an extended illness. He was born on August 22, 1966 in Rutherford County to Myles Thomas Melton and Blanche Buckner Melton. He grew up in Rutherford County and was a 1984 Graduate of Chase High School. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dale Melton. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a welder by trade and was a certified underwater welder. He enjoyed computers and writing and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Taylor Dale Melton of Boiling Springs, NC; a daughter, Serena Melton of Houston, TX; his mother, Blanche Buckner Melton of Forest City; three sisters, Susie Butler and husband, Spencer, of Belmont, NC, Melainy Wall Melton of Henrietta, NC, and Susan Kurtz and husband, Stan, of Thomasville, GA. He is also survived by two nieces, Dana Buff of Forest City, and Anna Kurtz of Thomasville, GA; three nephews, Trent Butler of Greenville, SC, Shane Butler of Charlotte, NC, and Chad Wall of Bostic, NC; one great-nephew, four great-nieces and Kurt Doggett of Forest City
