Troy Ellis

Troy Ellis, age 58, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.  Troy was born Friday, December 28, 1962 in Charleston, West Virginia to Brenda Covington who resides in Mobile, Alabama and the late Ronald Stover. Troy was graduate of Crest High School, class of 1982. He worked for Turner Trucking for many years and later as a Handyman for West Point Farms. Troy enjoyed taking care of his pet dog, Opie. He had a heart to help others and was always willing to be there in their time of need.

Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Amber Miller (Joey) of Shelby and Emily Patton (Charlie) of Morganton; grandsons, Camden Miller and Homer Patton; brothers, Ronald Ellis of Forest City, Leonard Ellis and Patrick Ellis both of Mobile, AL.

The family will have a private celebration of Troy’s life on a later date.
