Walter Adair

Walter Lee Adair, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Monday, October 18,2021 at his residence.

Walter was born Sunday, September 30, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Earl B. Adair and Gladys Bridges Adair.  Walter worked in maintenance most of his life.  He loved racing.  Walter was in the first graduating class at East High School class of 1963. He was a member of Harriet Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosa Vickers Adair; and a sister Martha Adair Tessinear.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tony Adair (Beverly); sisters, Helen D’Ercole (John), Earlene Earp (Stanley), Jan Ledford, and a granddaughter Taylor Leigh Adair.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Cash officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
