Wilbert Bright

Wilbert Woodrow Bright, age 82, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville, NC. Wilbert was born November 7, 1923 to the late Ivy and Lishey Byers Bright. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hardin; and 4 brothers, Dean Bright, James Bright, Russell Bright and Glenn Bright.

He served our country during World War II in the Army. He retired as a Warehouse Supervisor at Mastercraft Inc. He was a faithful member of the Crestview Baptist Church. Wilbert loved the outdoors, walking and reading the Bible through. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Melton Bright; 1 son Jerry W. Bright and his wife, Melinda, of Forest City, NC; 1 daughter, Catherine Beheler and husband, Michael, of Forest City, NC; 2 step-daughters, Kim Tesseneer and husband, Mike of Ellenboro, NC, and Kip Hunt and husband, Bill, of Forest City, NC; 3 brothers, Max Bright, Robert Bright and Bill Bright, all of Forest City, NC; 2 sisters, Jackie Fisher of Forest City, NC and Ruby Walker of Shelby, NC; 5 grandchildren, Angela Padgett, Sherry Oakes, Scott Bright, Brian Bright and Brent Allen; and 6 great grandchildren.
