Alice Rossman

Alice Shehan Rossman, age 81, of Cliffside, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Alice was born December 1, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Alfred Glen Brooks and Mattie O’Neal Martin Brooks. She was a plant manager for D.E.B. Manufacturing for twenty-four years and worked for Stonecutter Mill before retirement. Alice was a member of Crossway Baptist Church and especially loved participating in mission projects to help underprivileged children. She had a heart for her family, for others and for God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Rex Shehan and a second husband, Victor Herbert Rossman; grandson, Christopher Michael Biggerstaff; two sisters, Donnis O’Neal Morrow and Diane Mullinax; brother, Bobby Dean Brooks and sister-in-law, Betty Brooks.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Crystal Beheler (Timothy Ellenburg) of Spindale, Kimberly Mercado (Miguel) of Forest City and Debbie Harris of Cliffside; two sisters-in-law, Mary Wilson (Ronald) and Shirley Shehan all of Rutherfordton; two brothers-in-law, Ray Shehan of Rutherfordton and Steve Mullinax of Forest City; three grandchildren, Jeffery Nanney, Cassidy Ellenburg, Cheyenne Mercado; special friends, Jose Ramirez and Joyce Ann Walker both of Forest City and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend L.W. Toney, Reverend Pherson Weatherman and Reverend Keith Vance officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
