Anne Sanders

Anne Sanders, age 79, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Anne was born in New York State on Saturday, December 11, 1943. She worked as a Registered Nurse for twenty-five years.  Her commitment to helping others led her to be the primary caretaker for members of her family and for several disabled veterans. Anne enjoyed listening to all genres of music. Her favorites were Elvis and Alabama. Anne was of the Baptist faith.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepfather, Pete Smack; sons, Steven Douglas Dyer, Paul Eric Dyer and a brother, Teddy Sanders.

     Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Banich (Carl Ritchie) of Kannapolis; son, Johnny Dyer of Mooresboro; grandchildren, Leah Blanton (Matthew), Jessica Baxter (Daniel), Chris Hughes (Juline); great-grandchildren, David Baxter, Mia Blanton, Levi Hughes and Maverick Blanton.

     The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 16th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery in Shelby.
