Beth Carter, age 52, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills after a short battle with lung and liver cancer.

Beth was born Friday, July 18, 1969 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Linda Carter who resides in Boynton Beach, Florida and the late Stanton Carter. She was a graduate of Whitko High School, class of 1988. She worked as a baker for Davis Donuts for the last fourteen years.  She loved all animals and took many a stray into her home.  She also loved her electric guitars and taught herself how to play.  She loved to dance, be goofy and had a heart of gold. Her free spirit will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanton J. Carter and by her sister and best friend, Karen McPeek Heidenreich.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Pam Carter Hartley (husband Rodney and daughter, Rachel) of Tipton, Indiana; brother Joe McPeek (Donna) of Boynton Beach, Florida; niece Angela Campuzano (husband Jon and daughter Kenzi) of Marble Falls, Texas; nephew, Daniel Heidenreich (wife Martha and sons, Tyler and Evan) of Bloomington, Indiana; a good friend and co-worker, Renee Greenlee of Forest City, North Carolina.

Per her request, no formal services will be conducted.  She will be buried at Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana next to her father and paternal grandparents.
