Brenda Lyons

Brenda Sue Lyons, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Brenda was born December 2, 1954 in Spruce Pine, NC to the late Charles Walter Lyons and Delores Cresawn Lyons. She worked in home health care for many years and was a member of Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church. Brenda always had a heart of compassion for others and loved spending time with her grandkids.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Chellen Blanton of Forest City; two sons, Wilton Park of Oklahoma and Daniel Hush (Nikki) of Rutherfordton; six sisters, Diane Keaton (Danny) of Hickory, Gail Graham (Butch) of Archdale, NC, Melba Bledsoe (Don) of Hickory, Kathy Lyons of Lexington, NC, Loretta Ann Cashatt (Timmy) of Lexington and Karen Lyons of Ellenboro and a brother, Danny Lyons of Forest City; two aunts, Ollie Jean Bishop of Baltimore, MD and Jean Frady of Marion. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Brandon Blanton (Tiara), Jaiden Marks, Katie Park, Brenda Park, Lucas Park, Jordan Hush, Daniel Hush, Jr., Shirley Greene and many loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
