Cecil Butler

Cecil L. Butler, age 71, of 208 Birch Trail, Forest City, NC died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at his home. He was born June 30, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late John and Cleo Millwood Butler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Cecil was a member of Grace Missionary Methodist Church in Caroleen where he served as a deacon. He worked as a plumber for 27 years in the maintenance department of the Rutherford County Public Schools before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Butler of the home, one son, Greg Butler and wife Donna of Sandy Mush, NC; two daughters, Rhonda Nesbitt and husband Nathaniel of Sandy Mush, NC and Robin Wright and husband Jim of Rutherfordton, NC; two sisters, Mary Earley of Forest City, NC and Lois Eplee and husband Ken of Bostic, NC; seven grandchildren, Matt Butler, Candace Butler, Cecil Nesbitt, Zackery Nesbitt, Pamela Love Nesbitt, Zackery Wright, and Brock Wright; two step grandchildren, Sarah Williams and Brandon Williams; and one great grandson, Xander Butler.
