Frances Tate Roddy

Frances Tate Roddy, age 81, of Harris, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

Frances was born February 24, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Lloyd Tate and Mary Rich Tate. She was a graduate of Harris High School, class of 1957 and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Frances was a homemaker and an excellent cook and seamstress.  She loved taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Hoyle Tate, Louvenia Bailey, Irene Gulledge, James Tate, Howard Tate and Herman Tate.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of sixty-one years, Curtis Roddy; two daughters, Gretchen Jolley of Spartanburg and Greta Wallace (Edward) of Harris; brother, Doyle Tate of Longs, SC and a granddaughter, Megan Randall (Alex).

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend George Whitmire officiating.
