George D. Bradley

George D. Bradley, age 91, of Mooresboro, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

George was born October 26, 1929 in Rutherford County to the late James R. Bradley and Maggie Maxey Bradley. He worked in textiles as a maintenance technician for many years and was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church. George was an avid Washington Redskins fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife of seventy-one years, Ruth Bradley; grandson, Ray Bradley; five brothers and seven sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Paulette Saunders of Spartanburg and Renee Smart (Jimmy) of Mooresboro and son, Dewey Bradley (Cathy) also of Mooresboro. He is survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Poteat and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating.
