John Jones

John Jones, age 62, of Forest City passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.  John was born Saturday, October 11, 1958 in Fort Meyers, Florida. In his early years, he did sawmill work and then later he worked for Cone Mill and Broyhill Industries. John enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Reid Jones and Joy Bell Sherman Jones; two brothers, Bobby Jones and Wayne Jones and his sister, Mary.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-six years, Jeanett Jones; sons, Jeremy Davis (Trina) and Jeffery Davis all of Forest City; siblings, Warren Shultz, Jr., Barbara Greene, Billy Shultz, Jud Jones, Christine Yount, Helen Elenbora and Elen Elenbora.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
