Johnny Smith

Johnny Smith, age 70, of Forest City, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at his residence.

Johnny was born Friday, September 7, 1951 in Rutherford County to the late John Smith and Alice Hooper Smith. He was graduate of East Rutherford High School. Johnny owned and operated a dry wall business. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed crocheting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robbie and Jimmy Smith and sisters, Jennie Marlowe, Judy Byers and Janice Skidmore.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Crystal Smith Smith (Tommy) of Forest City; son, Duane Smith (Amy) of Boiling Springs, SC; brother, Jackie Smith (Dorothy) of Bostic; six grandchildren, Kaley Smith Spurlin (Ryan), Ailey Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jordan Fowler, Jared Fowler and eight great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Harrelson Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021.
