Joyce Smith

Joyce Smith, age 57, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at her residence.

Joyce was born Saturday, November 7, 1964 in Rutherford County. She worked as a Process Tech for A & Plastics and as a Line Cook at Smith Drugs Fountain for over twelve years. She was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Sexton and Alice McDaniel Sexton; brothers, Johnny Bradley, Larry Bradley, Billy Sexton and a sister, Luann Kennedy.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of twelve years, Henry Smith; daughter, Shauna Smith (“Cowboy”) of Forest City; two sons, Robbie Johnson (Kerry) of Spartanburg and Thomas Johnson of Forest City; two children of the home, Morgan and Jasmine Johnson; brother, Jacob Bradley (Kim) of Forest City; sisters, Patsy Mode of Spindale, Faye Bradley of Spindale, Lynn Newton of Forest City, Tracy Tran (Lou) of Forest City and five grandchildren, Bethany Johnson Holden (Joey), Jeffrey Johnson, Tyler Segers, Darin Johnson and Rilie Johnson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Cliffside Cemetery with Reverend Chad Sisk officiating.
