Lois Caldwell

Lois Caldwell, age 80, of Cliffside, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Fair Haven Home in Forest City. Lois was born Sunday, September 15, 1940 in Wayne, Michigan to the late Frank Albert Donahee and Helena Tharp Donahee. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Lois loved taking care of children. As long as her health allowed, she always enjoyed watching the church nursey. She also enjoyed reading and knitting. Lois was a dedicated Christian wife, mother and friend and loved the Lord with all of her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Smith, Helena Ford, Susan Leck and a grandson, Herbert Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of sixty years, Herbert Caldwell; six children, Janice Smith (Michael) of Westland, Michigan, Mark Caldwell of Cliffside, Thalia Briggs (Joe) of Byron, Michigan, Ron Caldwell (Dawn) of Westland, MI, Tayaka McDonald (Patrick) of Independence, Oregon and Tykwondo Caldwell of Campton, Kentucky; brother, Michael Donahee (Jan) of Westland, MI. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Allen, Matthew, Alyssa, Aden, Ely, Rebekah, Joel, Jonathan, Hannah and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Teagan.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
