Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor, age 81, of Forest City, daughter of the late Earl C. and Virginia S. Taylor passed away, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Rebecca graduated from Tri-High School, class of 1958. She also graduated from Greensboro College and Eastman School of Music. She worked as an organist, choir director, youth director and taught piano. Rebecca retired after thirty-one years as a Performing Arts Senior Examiner in the Copyright Office (Library of Congress) in Washington D.C.  After retirement, Rebecca played for sing-alongs and taught line dancing at the Senior Centers in Virginia and North Carolina. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

A memorial service to celebrate Rebecca’s life will be conducted on a later date.
