Obituary

Wesley Shires, age 50, of Ellenboro, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his residence.

     Wesley was born Sunday, June 4, 1972 in Rutherford County to Wayne Shires and Susan Hardin Shires who reside in Forest City. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1990. Wesley worked in construction for several years and was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church.

     In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion, Gail Miller; a daughter, Anna Elizabeth Shires and son, Noah Shires both of Mooresboro.  He is also survived by a sister, Gail Grindstaff of Forest City.

     A gathering of family and friends to honor Wesley’s life will be conducted from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Goodes Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
